03/22: I appeared in Adobe Summit to showcase one of my ongoing research projects. Check it out here.
About Me:
My name is Gromit Yeuk-Yin CHAN (陳若然), a Research Scientist in Adobe Research.
I received my PhD in Computer Science from New York University in 2021, and a double degree in Computer Engineering and Business Management from HKUST in 2016. I was a member in Visualization and Data Analytics (ViDA) lab during my PhD and HKUST VisLab during my undergraduate study.
I am broadly interested in the machine learning aspect of interactive visualization. Recently I have been working on large scale data summarization and interactive systems using sketching algorithms. My PhD advisors are prof. Claudio T. Silva and prof. Juliana Freire, and I am fortunate to spend a decent amount of time working with prof. Gustavo Nonato, Dr. Harish Doraiswamy, Dr. Panpan Xu, prof. Themis Palpanas, Dr. Fan Du and Dr. Tung Mai.
I come from Hong Kong, where
